  • Site in Ginsheim-Gustavsburg becomes central warehouse for distribution of established brand products such as Spalt or Formigran
  • Inventory management and shipping will take place completely at 15 to 25 degrees Celsius
  • Movianto employees (shown restocking shelves) have been taking over the storage, picking and dispatch of numerous PharmaSGP products since this month.

(Ginsheim/Gräfelfing) This month, the listed company PharmaSGP is transferring the warehousing, order picking and dispatch of selected branded products such as Spalt or Formigran to the logistics service provider Movianto, who specialises in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. PharmaSGP, based in Gräfelfing near Munich, focuses on the development and distribution of non-prescription branded products. For quality assurance reasons, PharmaSGP has committed to full temperature control of the medicines it distributes.

“We are pleased that PharmaSGP has decided to work with us in the future, relying completely on active temperature control,” says Dennis Spamer, Managing Director of Movianto Germany. “Not only warehousing, but also dispatch to pharmacies and wholesalers is actively temperature-controlled at 15 to 25 degrees. This is still not standard for non-prescription OTC products.” According to Spamer, temperature control is playing an increasingly important role in the logistics of pharmaceuticals, but also increasingly of medical products. “We are experiencing steadily increasing demand for this and will further expand our capacity in this area next year.”
